On June 5th 2020, Governor Whitmer made the announcement that Massage Therapy facilities were allowed to re-open beginning June 15th, 2020. We have re-opened and you may begin scheduling your appointments via our online booking system at the link below this message, or by call our office at 248-631-4728.
We have been working hard to create an environment in which our clients can feel safe and confident. In order to be in compliance with state orders and to keep all of us safe, I would like to provide information, requirements, and guidance on how our studio will be operating while Covid-19 is still a risk and pervasive in our communities. At some point in the future, things will return to normal and these preventative measures will no longer be necessary. However, until then, we ask that you embrace and respect all safety requirements.
Office Safety Enhancements & Requirements
We have installed HEPA air purifiers with UV-C light technology that assists in killing airborne viruses and bacteria in every room of our studio. These purifiers clean the air in each therapy room and the reception area 4 times per hour.
Curbside waiting will be implemented. To adhere to social distancing rules and to ensure we have no more than one client in our reception room at a time, we ask that you please wait in your car when you arrive at our office. Check in by calling or texting us at 248-631-4728, and we will text or call you back when we are ready for you to enter the studio. This information will also be included in reminder emails.
We will utilize a touchless thermometer to take temperatures of all clients and staff prior to entering the studio.
As always, we have our linens professionally cleaned and sanitized. All sheets and blankets will be fresh for every client.
Ample antiviral/antibacterial cleaning supplies have been purchased and all surfaces will be sanitized regularly throughout the day. Each therapy room will undergo a strict cleaning and sanitation protocol between each client.
We have implemented touchless check out so clients do not have to touch unnecessary items in our studio.
Health screenings will be conducted via phone call for all clients 24 hours in advance of appointments.
Breathable cloth masks have been purchased and are available for all clients who do not have masks. These masks are washed in hot, soapy water and sterilized after each use. Please note: All clients must wear face coverings while in the studio at all times except when laying face down on the table. We will be implementing barriers under the face cradle to eliminate the need for masks while face down.
We have discontinued the use of our self-service refreshment station. Your therapist will get you water or tea to prevent unnecessary contact with our drink station.
While we will continue using glass cups in the office, we have started using Steramine tablets to clean and disinfect all glassware. This is the same sterilizing product used in bars and restaurants to ensure proper sterilizing and disinfecting of glassware.
